Reflective Badges via heat-sealing are a very popular choice for Emergency Services and companies alike, requiring reflective/high visibility badges. For example, the SECURITY high visibility waistcoat pictured bottom right is an effective and highly visible badge which has been heat-sealed to the garment. This stands out greatly. These kinda of badges can also be placed into EN471 sized plastic wallets for stitching to the garment.
A more popular choice are the Encapsulated EN471 Badges. These are directly screen-printed onto the clear plastic foreground, and welded to a reflective background. These are then sent to the customer in large quantities for them to stitch to the garments alon the welded edges such as the two reflective encapsulated badges below.
The FIRE MARSHAL artwork pictured top-right is in the first stages of its production. This would be a JPEG file that we would use to send to the customer via Fax or attached to an email for approval. When given the go-ahead, for an EN471 Encapsulated Badge, we would screen-print with blue ink; the rectangular block leaving the letters clear. Once finished the printing stage, our welding department would weld the plastic to the reflective background. If this is to be a heat-sealed badge, life the SECURITY Hi-Vis jacket - we would directly screen-print the blue ink to the reflective background.
